We are a group of engineers/scientists focused on understanding alterations in mechanobiology that occur in cells and their microenvironment during progression of diseases, including cardiovascular disease and metastatic cancer. We engineer cells and their microenvironment in order to create model systems that allow us to understand fundamental aspects of cellular and tissue mechanobiology, which in turn will help us develop therapeutic strategies for these diseases.
Check out our research projects and blog, and feel free to contact Dr. Kimberly Stroka with any questions. If you are interested in joining the lab, please contact Dr. Stroka. We're looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic scientists/engineers to drive the lab forward.
